After extensive training with Evelyne LeMone, Ted Welch and the Dupree Academy, Shauna Goddard-Barger was invited to be a member of Hubbard Street Dance Chicago at the age of fourteen. She danced with HSDC from 1978 until 1985, touring extensively throughout the USA, while attending high school. The Arts and Recognition Talent Search and President Ronald Regan awarded her the honor of Presidential Scholar in 1982.
Shauna attended UCLA, earning her B.A. in Communication Studies in 1989. During her four years at UCLA she continued to perform, including a regular role in MGM’s “FAME", "Saved By The Bell” numerous MTV videos (Paula Abdul, Patrick Swayze, Debbie Gibson, Pete Wiley...), a world-wide concert tour with James Brown, guest appearances with the Los Angeles Ballet and various Nike commercials.
Upon graduation, Shauna was invited to work with the RAI network in Rome, Italy. Shauna worked with various companies in Europe including Andre De La Roche and Balletto di Roma. Her career led her to Milan, Italy to pursue choreography and direction with Canale Cinque. In 1997, she established herself in Monte Carlo, opening a performing arts center and her company, MOVING PARTS, produced numerous productions for the Princess Grace Theater, Grimaldi Forum, Services des Fetes and Academie de Musique de Monaco for ten years.
Returning to the United States in 2007, Shauna came home after many years with her husband and two children. She is currently co-director of ArtistsPlus Productions and teaches jazz and ballet in the San Gabriel Valley.
