In the short time Londoner, Joe Chaplin has been working in Los Angeles he has become a teacher and choreographer for several top ranking dance studios and companies including Green Kite Records, where he is the choreographer for a number of bands and solo artists nationwide. With his energy, friendliness, hard work ethic, reliability and British charm, Joe Chaplin has the ability to offer his unique style to the dance industry and is confident he can bring the best out of anyone who is willing to learn.
Joe Chaplin started dancing at the age of 15 at Pineapple Performing Arts studios in the heart of central London. Joe transitioned from student to teacher after just three years. The next four years he would spend putting his choreography skills into practice as he taught a wide variety of students. During the age of 18 to 22 Joe was chosen to be part of a highly selective dance troupe and given such opportunities to perform at events such as Top of the Pops, Blue Peter, and The Mobo Awards working with artists such as Neyo, T-pain and Amy Winehouse. Joe’s resume also includes MTV’s My Sweet Sixteen, with Sean Kingston among many other projects.
Joe Chaplin grew and developed a great deal as a performer and choreographer throughout his performance years. Not only did he gain experience teaching privately all over London, he had the rare opportunity to travel to the centre of the Mediterranean to the small island of Malta and teach at their top ranked performing arts school. His travel didn’t end there booking jobs in Spain, Portugal, Ireland (Westside – leading performing arts school, Dublin) and France (four months as a performing at Disney Land Paris, Choreographer for French band, Travel Agency).
