Belle Jessen is a dancer, teaching artist, commercial actress and choreographer/movementdirector. Through her career she has broadened her training to a melting pot of genres to gain versatility. Belle earned her B.F.A. in Dance at Point Park University and upon graduation, she spent a season apprenticing with Visceral Dance Chicago. Since relocating to Los Angeles, Belle has experience working in both concert and commercial scenes dancing alongside artists, Dua Lipa, Charli XCX, Troye Sivan, Katy Perry & Moby. She can also be seen in live and visual works by Erin Murray, Megan Lawson, Peter Chu and Sarah Elgart.
Belle’s choreography has been presented at Links Hall (Chicago), Atheneum Theatre (Chicago), Highways Performance Space (Santa Monica), and set on companies Chicago Dance Crash, Visceral Dance Chicago, and Consuming Kinetics (St. Louis). She has recently worked alongside director Jacob Rosenberg as movement director for Kudeta, production group and record label of Young Guru and Voli Martung.
As an educator, Belle is interested in creating an environment for creatives to call their playground of discovery. Establishing a passion for teaching at a young age, Belle has had the pleasure of sharing with movers from around the globe by providing a safe space for the imagination to explore. It brings her great joy to give back as she continues to evolve as an artist herself.
